A Focus on the Individual

Our focus is to provide programs and services with your individual goals in mind, so that you can get more out of your experience.

More than 20 Years of Experience

We began in 1990 as AustraLearn, and now have more than 20 years of experience and over 25,000 satisfied alumni. We are a trusted partner to hundreds of universities and work hard to provide a wide variety of quality programs, strong on-site support, and personalized attention.

Discover the Difference

The Discovery Difference starts from the moment you contact us. The Discovery Difference is the framework our team uses to enhance your experience. Get in contact with us and we can give you personalized program recommendations based on your goals and interests. Then, throughout the pre-departure process, our Program Managers will give you individualized attention to ensure that your questions are answered, and you are prepared for yourexperience.

Once abroad, our in-country staff will lead you on a multi-day Bridging Cultures Orientation Program to ease your transition and accelerate exposure to your host country. Throughout the program, our in-country staff in your host city will plan additional excursions and suggest individual activities that you can undertake in order to get the most out of your experience in the 5 areas of discovery. These activities cannot be found in a guide book, as they are sourced through the local knowledge of our Resident Coordinators. Learn more.

 Staff Who Understands

Our team, both in the US and abroad, are passionate about study abroad. Our Program Managers have all been abroad and understand firsthand what you are going through as you prepare for an international experience. Once in country, on-site staff provide guidance and insight to the local culture and are available 24/7 in case you need them.

Throughout your discovery abroad, you will be supported by a team of engaged onsite coordinators who can assist you with finding the right balance of study and activities to make your study abroad experience one-of-a-kind. Worldwide, we have employed more than 35 Resident Directors and Resident Coordinators in order to support our students on ground in every location.

We Offer a Variety of Programs

You may wish to study and live abroad on a semester or year program, complete an internship to strengthen your resume, attend a short-term program during one of your academic break periods, complete a research project at an overseas campus, or earn your entire degree abroad.

We are Involved in the International Community

We participate in Education Abroad through well-known organizations in the national and international scenes and especially through presence in NAFSA: Association of International Educators, The Forum on Education Abroad, and the Canadian Bureau for International Education (check out all our memberships and associations). Our International Council of North American advisors provides ongoing oversight of our work, and our creation of and support to the Foundation for Global Scholars ensures our students going abroad gain financial scholarships for their programs in addition to the scholarships we provide for all of our destinations.
