GlobaLinks Learning Abroad, formerly known as AustraLearn, offers study abroad and degree programs at the University of Wollongong. The University of Wollongong is a modern, innovative center of learning. It offers a comprehensive suite of degree programs from Engineering and Informat
ion Technology to Australian Studies/Aboriginal Studies.
Established in 1951, the University has a student population of over 20,000. Students from over 70 countries study together on an 82-hectare campus with many green spaces, ponds, streams and waterfalls.

UOW has been placed in the top two percent of universities in the world by its performance in three prestigious international rankings:
  • QS World University Rankings 2010
  • Shanghai Jiao Tong Academic Ranking of World Universities 2010
  • Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2010
These rankings provide a comprehensive assessment of universities across a range of criteria, including research excellence, employer reviews and degree quality. 
The 2011 Good Universities Guide also confirms UOW's position as one of the country’s leading institutions. UOW received five stars in seven key areas, where only the top 20 per cent of universities in Australia can be awarded five stars in any one category.
The University’s Faculty of Education is known for strong teacher education programs and research in multidisciplinary teaching, and also hosts the Centre for Canadian – Australian Studies.

The University is located in the city of Wollongong (pronounced ‘Wool-n-gong’), 50 miles south of Sydney. The main campus is situated at the base of Mt Keira. The city enjoys a mild coastal climate, with an average summer maximum temperatures of 25 °C and winter maximum of 17 °C.
The city of Wollongong is a short bus ride from campus, and an hour's train ride south of Sydney. Wollongong offers many alternatives for shopping, and more energetic outdoor activities.
