GlobaLinks Learning Abroad offers numerous other study abroad scholarship awards exclusive to participants of our study abroad programs. An additional scholarship application is required and will be made available to all eligible participants upon acceptance to their programs. Scholarship opportunities include:
Affiliate University Scholarships
Students from affiliate universities are eligible for the Affiliate University Scholarships for all GlobaLInks Learning Abroad semester abroad and academic year abroad programs. To find out if your university is affiliated, please call our office at 1-800-980-0033.
University-Sponsored Scholarships
GlobaLinks Learning Abroad strongly encourages its overseas partner universities to provide additional study abroad scholarship opportunities.
Travel Grants
Each semester, through the generosity of Qantas Airways and Air New Zealand, selected participants are awarded scholarships equal to the international round-trip airfare cost to/from Australia or New Zealand.
University of California and California State University Scholarships
GlobaLinks Learning Abroad has created a $20,000 scholarship fund available specifically for University of California and California State University students who choose to study on one of our programs. $10,000 are earmarked for students who are majoring in Biological/Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Business, and Communications.
Diversity Scholarship
To demonstrate our commitment to increasing the ethnic diversity of our participants, we are pleased to offer a new Diversity Scholarship program for students participating on semester/year-long program through GlobaLinks Learning Abroad. The scholarships of $1,500 will be awarded to eligible students of ethnic minority who are willing to share their experience with family, friends, and student colleagues upon their return.
For Gilman Scholarship Recipients
If you are selected as a recipient of a Gilman Scholarship as a participant on a GlobaLinks Learning Abroad semester/year abroad program, GlobaLinks offers you the opportunity to apply for an additional $500 scholarship. To be eligible for the award, you must provide your program coordinator at GlobaLinks with a copy of your Gilman Scholarship award letter and apply using the GlobaLinks scholarship application upon acceptance to the program.
