All programs in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji include a 4-day trip to the location of your choice
In addition to the Bridging Cultures Program and ongoing activities throughout the semester, we include excursions as part of our semester and year abroad programs in Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji!
Students can choose one of four trips throughout the semester. All tour costs are included, however participants will be responsible for their transportations costs to and from their excursion destinations.
In addition to these included excursions, we offer an optional week-long trip to Thailand during spring break or after the program for a low cost. .
Bali - Legian Beach: Including a day trip to Ubud
Bali is one of the most picturesque islands on earth with its natural beauty and smiling people. The Balinese Hinduism religion and local art are steeped in centuries of tradition. Ubud is a remarkable town in the middle of the island of Bali. For more than a century, it has been the island’s preeminent center for fine arts, dance and music.
Queenstown, New Zealand: Including a day trip to Milford Sound
Queenstown is the an adventure capital of New Zealand and is surrounded by majestic mountains and nestled on the shores of crystal clear Lake Wakatipu. Milford Sound is a world-renowned natural wonder. No where else in Fiordland do the mountains stand so tall and straight out of the sea. Luxuriant rainforest clings to sheer rock walls and waterfalls tumble hundreds of meters to the sea below.
Fiji Island Resort
Fiji, the world’s friendliest place, is located in the South Pacific and boasts over 300 coral-fringed islands scattered across 20,000 square miles. Whether you are interested in the Fijian culture or more adventure such as surfing, scuba diving, snorkelling, hiking or simply relaxing, Fiji offers you a variety of activities and attractions.
Whitsundays Islands, Australia
The Whitsundays is a 74-island wonder, located in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef. A visit to the Whitsundays is a feast for the senses, as visitors are surrounded by natural beauty, and secluded beaches. Named a World Heritage Site, the Great Barrier Reef is one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Home to tens of thousands of species of brilliantly colored fish, coral, and other marine life, this is a spectacular underwater playground.

Known as the land of smiles, Thailand is a country that offers beautiful landscapes, innovative architecture, pristine beaches, traditional culture, and locals that will keep you entertained! This is an action packed seven day optional excursion students can participate in during their spring break or after their program concludes. This amazing low cost trip is the perfect complement to a GlobaLinks Learning Abroad semester of discovery.
