Transcript Services for GlobaLinks Learning Abroad Alumni

Transcript Arrival

All official transcripts are sent by GlobaLinks Learning Abroad directly to the International Office of your home university (unless your university does not have one, and in that case, they will be sent directly to the Admissions Office/Registrar). A copy is sent to your permanent address. Keep in mind it can take several months for GlobaLinks Learning Abroad to receive the transcripts from the university abroad. Your transcript will not be sent to your home university if you have an outstanding balance with either GlobaLinks Learning Abroad or the university you attended.

Transcript Re-Orders

GlobaLinks Learning Abroad invites its returning study abroad students to use this service to re-order one or more copies of their host university transcript for such things as applications to graduate schools, job assignments, or other opportunities that require official transcripts. In most cases, graduate schools will require an official transcript directly from your study abroad host university, and it is wise to order well in advance if you plan to apply for graduate school.

In some cases, GlobaLinks Learning Abroad can make the requests for you. In other cases, the university may require the student to order transcripts directly due to student privacy laws.

Once we have your request, we will return an email to you with confirmation of your order along with a calculation showing the foreign currency cost owed to your university, converted to U.S. dollars at a current rate, plus the foreign draft fee of $10 USD. You will be asked to send that amount to the GlobaLinks Learning Abroad office for processing.

GlobaLinks Learning Abroad will not order transcripts based on the initial email, but will order once payment has arrived. Transcripts are then sent from the host university to the GlobaLinks Learning Abroad office and we, in turn, will mail them out under appropriate cover to the addresses you provide. Please provide plenty of time for the process.
