Alumna / Alumnus of the Year Award

Interested in a career in study abroad and international education or just continuing to connect with your experience abroad?

If you have an interest in working in the field of education either in study abroad or one of the many other facets of the field or if you are interested in keeping your experience alive you can apply for the GlobaLinks Learning Abroad "Alumnus or Alumna of the Year" Award.

This is a unique opportunity that will offer you the chance to learn more about the field of international education and if you're interested, decide if this is the direction you wish to pursue. The recipient of this Award will earn a trip to the national NAFSA conference, and be recognized at the annual GlobaLinks Learning Abroad Affiliate Advisor Luncheon during the conference. During the conference, you'll have the opportunity to shadow experienced GlobaLinks Learning Abroad staff, network with international education professionals, assist at our exhibition booth, and take on a potential project. GlobaLinks Learning Abroad will cover the expenses of airfare to the annual conference, hotel accommodation for three nights, and conference registration. The recipient will be responsible for meals, transport to/from airport, and other personal expenses.

The annual national NAFSA conference is held in May of each year, and gives international educators a chance to network, learn the latest trends of the field, and enhance their own professional development. Attending the conference will give you ample opportunities to network into the field yourself and discover if it's really for you.
