Inclusions in Customized Programs

 
Flexibility is the key for our customized programs, allowing the program leader and home university to choose how much and what specific things they want included. Typically, we can arrange and provide quotes for the following items:
  • Access to our network of overseas partner universities, including visits, tours, guest lectures and student interaction, enabling a solid academic component to your program
  • In-country transportation
  • Accommodation in a wide variety of styles, and meals as desired
  • On-site group orientation and airport pick-up
  • Field trips, site visits, cultural tours, guest industry speakers and seminars
  • Meeting and classroom space and A/V equipment
  • Access to “behind the scenes” tours and company visits not readily available to the public
  • Emergency response plan, suggested student code of conduct, 24/7 in-country support
  • Detailed program booklets, maps and advice for leaders and participants
  • Visa processing and pre-departure information

On-Site Services Upon Arrival

When your group arrives overseas, our in-country staff will meet you at the airport, collect everyone and stay with you for the day. This includes getting your group checked in to accommodation, some type of a tour of the city, a detailed orientation and usually a group meal. We’ll go over your program itinerary with leaders and participants, and answer any questions or concerns you may have.
 
Group leaders are given a cell phone with pre-programmed minutes, maps and other literature of the destinations the program is traveling to and a detailed leader’s handbook for the program. Student participants are given their own program booklets as well.
 

Health and Safety

Our in-country staff is available 24 hours a day/7 days a week for any situation that may arise, be that an emergency, medical situation, loss passport, student conduct issue, troubleshooting anything in your itinerary such as issues with accommodation or transport providers.
 
GlobaLinks Learning Abroad provides all group leaders with our health and safety and emergency plans, as well as a suggested student code of conduct.
