Carley, a native of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, attended the University of Wisconsin-Stout where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Communications Management in 2014. Early in her undergraduate career, Carley set her eyes on studying abroad in Australia, and in the fall of 2012, she participated in ISA’s semester program at James Cook University in Cairns, Australia. Throughout her time in Australia she visited many popular cities including; Sydney, Gold Coast and Ayer’s Rock (Uluru) and was fortunate enough to spend a week in New Zealand. In addition to her semester in Australia, Carley participated in a spring break service learning program in St. Lucia in 2014. Through this experience she was able to work with fellow classmates, faculty leaders and community members to organize a donation drive before departing, and while there, host community portrait and medical clinic days, work with orphaned children and much more! The opportunity to study abroad changed many things in Carley’s life and she never turned back. Since her initial return from Australia, Carley has had a new found passion for learning about new cultures, traveling to new places whenever possible, and helping others find an international study program that suits their needs. She is excited to be working as an Australia Site Specialist with ISA and looks forward to helping students attain the numerous life rewards study abroad experiences can bring.
